Man pleads not guilty to causing death by careless driving after West Yorkshire nurse died from head injuries in fatal collision

Caroline Greatorex, 55, was struck by the Honda Accord taxi on Friarwood Lane, at the junction with Southgate, at around 6.45am on December 1, 2018.
She was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with head injuries but died three weeks later on December 21.

Hide AdAkhmed Hussain was arrested and charged with driving without due care and attention and therefore causing her death.
The 40-year-old, of Morningside, Bradford, appeared at Leeds Crown Court this afternoon, accompanied by an interpreter, and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
A trial, which is expected to last three days, has been set for March 21 next year.
The defendant was given bail.
