Stuart Dallas says Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has given his players the belief to beat teams like Manchester City - even with 10 men.

The Whites pulled off the unlikeliest of victories over the Premier League champions in waiting last weekend.

Dallas' 91st minute winner sparked wild celebrations at the Etihad stadium with Leeds having played the whole second half a man down.

City entered the game looking to make it 27 wins out of 28 in all competitions but came unstuck against a battling Whites side who were forced to adapt.

Club captain Liam Cooper was handed a red card in first half stoppage time for a high follow through on opposition striker Gabriel Jesus.

The challenge was initially deemed worthy of a yellow by referee Andre Marriner before being upgraded upon a VAR review.

Dallas had earlier put United ahead before Ferran Torres levelled with 14 minutes to go in Manchester.

Leeds were forced to defend deep for the majority of the second half as they deployed a low block and played on the break against Pep Guardiola's star-studded line-up.

The Northern Irishman then handed Leeds a famous victory in the first minute of added time, breaking through to slot home and hand Bielsa all three points.

"We went to Manchester City to win the game, whether people call us crazy or naive that's their opinion," Dallas told Sky Sports.

"He (Bielsa) showed a belief in us that we can go to these places and get a result. Of course we're not going to win the league but we're more than capable of putting in a performance and we've shown that throughout the season.
