Dewsbury Rams: Dressing room '˜buzzing' after Rams break duck
Rams, who lost all their pre-season games and their opening five fixtures in the Kingstone Press Championship, stormed into today’s Ladbrokes Challenge Cup fifth-round draw with a 36-8 victory over League One visitors Newcastle Thunder. Morrison admitted he slept better over the weekend following Friday’s success and reckons his side are capable of climbing away from the relegation zone when they return to league action.
“The dressing room was buzzing, which was good,” Morrison said. “ I don’t think we’ve been too far away, but playing under pressure tightens everybody up. On the weekend we played like we trained, we put some good plays on and scored some good tries. We deserved it and we will take some confidence out of it. We’ve been working on things and the boys realise if we stick to what we’ve trained to do we can break teams down and put some points on the board.”

Jodie Sheriffe suffered a groin injury and Andy Kain had to be substituted due to a persistent ankle problem, but Morrison said neither injury is believed to be long-term.
